Secondary Highway 510 - www.OntHighways.com

Highway 510 is a short secondary highway that follows the historic Nipissing Colonization Road from Magnetawan northerly to Highway 124.  This is the only section of the Nipissing Road to be part of any modern provincial highway.  This short highway has the distinction of being among Ontario's worst maintained provincial highways.

Secondary Highway 510 Shield

Southern Terminus:  Junction Highway 520 in Magnetawan

Northern Terminus:  Junction Highway 124 north of Magnetawan

Length:  2.8km

Multiplexes:  None

Orientation: North-South

Regions Served: Parry Sound District

Road Info:  Highway 510 could very well be Ontario's worst maintained provincial highway.  While the road is hard-surfaced, it is so cracked and heaved that traveling anywhere near the posted speed limit would be detrimental to most vehicles suspension.  Travelers bound to and from Magnetawan from the Northeast would be strongly advised to use the slightly longer route via Highway 520 and 124 rather then Highway 510.
