Tallwall barriers and high mast lighting in 1989? Apparently so, according to this picture taken on the westbound Highway 401 between Highway 11 and Bayview Avenue. I had known that this section of the 401 was one of the earliest to be upgraded to todays modern standard, but I was under the impression that this was not the case until 1993 at the earliest. However, as evident by this photo, the upgrade occurred much earlier. Summer of 1989. |
