Looking west towards the Keele Street overpass along the westbound Highway 401 express lanes. The CMS (Changeable Message Sign) pictured here, and many others like it, were first installed on the 401 through the GTA in 1991. So this CMS in all likelihood is brand new. April of 1991.
Looking west along the westbound Highway 401 express lanes towards a large overhead warning sign affixed to the Highway 11A overpass. These signs warning motorists to reduce speed in inclement weather were quite common until the mid 1990s. Today, they are essentially extinct. April of 1991.
