Highway 137 NORTH begins. Welcome to Ontario. April of 1990.

Northbound Highway 137 as it approaches the Thousand Islands Parkway near the town of Selton. Highway 137 serves as a small connector freeway between the 401 in Eastern Ontario and I-81 in Upstate New York. In June 1992 and up until recently, Highway 137 was an unmarked highway.

Northbound Highway 137 as it approaches its junction with Highway 401 in southwest Leeds and Grenville County. Notice the deep rock cut to the right. This type of rugged terrain is common in eastern and central Ontario and provides an interesting challenge for road constructors in this province. April of 1990.
