| Looking west along westbound Highway 403 towards its terminus with Highway 2 near Ancaster. Before 1997, Highway 403 was discontinuous between Ancaster and Brantford. Traffic had to utilize Highway 2 and 53 to link between the two incongruous segments. May of 1993. |   |

Advance signage for Cawthra Road and Eglinton Avenue located on eastbound Highway 403 in Mississauga. Notice the lack of reference to Eastgate Parkway. I am not sure if this omission is an error or if Eastgate Parkway did not exist in the summer of 1989.
UPDATE: Shawn Colley has graciously informed me that Eastgate Parkway was not completed until 1994-1995. Thus, the pictured sign is accurate. |
