King's Highway 76 - www.OntHighways.com

Highway 76 was a short highway that ran from Highway 2 in Southwestern Middlesex County to Highway 3 in Southwestern Elgin County.  The routes primary purpose was to serve the small community of West Lorne.  The route served a very local purpose, and was downloaded in its entirety in 1997.

AADT (1994):  Highest:  2,800, from West Lorne to Highway 401;

                             Lowest:  1,300, from Highway 3 to West Lorne.

Status:  Entirely downloaded:  New names are Elgin Road 76 and Middlesex Road 76

Road info:  Highway 76 is in good condition for its entire length.  The road has been resurfaced by its respective counties since being turned over by the province.  Highway 76 has a rural posted speed limit of 80km/h.
