Two views looking northerly as Highway 537 descends the large rock cut that
separates Highway 69 from Wanup. The scale of this rock cut is simply not
captured by photography. This immense rock cut is particularly noteworthy
as it was built for a secondary highway.

View looking northerly from atop the rock cut as Highway 537 winds through
the Wanup Valley. This alignment of Highway 537 was opened to traffic
during the fall of 2010. It is impeccably well built, unlike the
remainder of Highway 537 beyond the Old Wanup Road intersection.

Northerly view at the Old Wanup Road intersection. This intersection
marks the end of the 2010 realingment of the highway. Beyond this
intersection, Highway 537 becomes more typical of a secondary highway,
having narrow lanes, lacking paved shoulders and surfaced in tar and chip.

the rather odd northern terminus of
Highway 537. Finni Road is located at just the other side of this
short hill.
