City of Norfolk County Southerly view along what was Highway 24 approaching the Highway 59 intersection.  At this junction, Highway 24 is only a few kilometers inland of the Lake Erie Shoreline.

City of Norfolk County This junction signage is found at the south end of Highway 24 at Highway 3 in Simcoe.  This assembly features a very unique Highway 3 Ends shield.

City of Brant County Looking south along Highway 24 at the Brant-Norfolk County Line.  Highway 24 is paved with concrete from this boundary line northerly to the former Highway 53 junction.  The concrete portion of Highway 24 was reconstructed with asphalt during the Summer of 2006.

City of Brant County A particularly lonely stretch of Highway 24 between Scotland and Brantford.  This picture is looking north, roughly 4km south of the Highway 53 junction.

City of Brant County Looking north along Highway 24 towards the Brant Road 12 junction.  Notice the lack of turn tapers at the Brant Road 12 intersection.  Highway 24 was first surfaced in 1967, at a time when design standards are much lower then they are today.

City of Brant County Looking north towards the former Highway 53 junction.  The Highway 53 junction is located roughly 4km south of Highway 403.  Before 1997, Highway 24 would have turned easterly following Highway 53 into Downtown Brantford.  In 1997, Highway 24 was realigned onto Rest Acres Road and Highway 403.

Highway 53 ran roughly parallel to Highway 403 from Woodstock easterly to Hamilton.  Click here for Highway 53 images.
City of Brant County  This view looks northerly as Highway 24 approaches Whitemans Creek.  Whitemans Creek is obviously found in a rather substantial valley.  Many fairly minor appearing creeks drain into Lake Erie by means of surprisingly substantial valleys.

City of Brant County  This view looks southerly along Highway 24 as the highway approaches Whitemans Creek.  The MTO replaced the Whitemans Creek bridge during the 2011 construction season.  Prior to the structural replacement, the Ministry had some rather substantial maintenance issues with this particular structure that resulted in a long duration closure during the fall of 2006 to complete some emergency structural repairs.

City of Brant County This view looks northerly approaching the Bethel Road intersection.  Highway 24 was widened to four lanes between Bethel Road and Highway 403 during a construction contract that was completed late in 2014.

City of Brant County Two views looking southerly approaching Bethel Road.  Highway 24 was widened in the vicinity of the Bethel Road intersection due to the completion of a large business park was completed just west of Highway 24 along Bethel Road.
