Town of Whitby Regional Municipality of Durham |
Shield assembly denoting the Highway

The intersection of Highway
7/12 and Durham Road
5 in Myrtle. This picture shows the highway before traffic signals were
installed at this intersection in the late fall of 2004. These traffic lights
were added as part of a larger contract that saw Highway
7/12
rehabilitated from Brooklin to Manchester. Picture taken August 5th, 2004. Size: 50kb. |

Bridge on the former alignment of Highway 12 through Gamebridge. This

Brock - Ramara Boundary Durham - Simcoe Boundary |
This picture shows the eastern facade of the Gamebridge Bowstring Bridge on a former Highway 12 alignment. Concrete Bowstring bridges are (in my opinion at least) some of the most spectacular types of bridges on Ontario Highways. The bowstring type of bridge is, however, quickly disappearing from Ontario's Highway's. They are being replaced with new standard style bridges. Picture taken: May 3rd, 2004. Size: 50kb. |
