King's Highway 412 - www.OntHighways.com

Highway 412 was formerly known as the West Durham Link, and links Highway 401 to Highway 407 (Toll) in the vicinity of Lake Ridge Road in the Town of Whitby.  Highway 412 was first opened to traffic in June of 2016 as a toll road.  Tolls were subsequently removed on April 5, 2022 following considerable lobbying by local municipalities within the Regional Municipality of Durham.

  Southern Terminus:  Highway 401 in Whitby, just east of Lake Ridge Road.

Northern Terminus:  Highway 407 Toll in Whitby, just east of Lake Ridge Road.

Length:  ~10 km

Freeway:  Entire Length.  (5 Interchanges)

AADT:  N/A.

Road Info:  Highway 412 has not yet opened to traffic.  It is expected to open during the Spring of 2016.  Once open, Highway 412 will be a four lane toll freeway with a 100km/h speed limit.
