overpass. Highway 88 meets the 400 at
a cloverleaf interchange; notice however, that the ramp terminals at Highway
88 have been converted to intersections. Presumably this is due to the

overpass. For many years Highway 88 was the only highway to meet the
400 between Vaughan and Barrie, as neither
Highway 9, nor
Highway 89 extended east of Highway 27.
Highway 88's importance was dwarfed somewhat, when Highway
9 and 89 were
extended past Highway 27 to
