Southern Terminus: A-20 interchange west of Dorion. Northern Terminus: A-40 interchange just west of Pont de I'Ile aux Tourtes Regions: MRC de Vaudreuil-Soulanges Routing: A-540 is a very short freeway that links A-20 to A-40 in western Montreal. It is particularly useful for vehicles looking to avoid A-20's arterial section through Dorion. In the future, A-540 will be incorporated into A-30's extension. |

Prior to the completion of Autoroute 30, traffic heading southerly along A-540 simply rounds a long bend and becomes traffic heading westbound along A-20. Traffic bound towards Dorion and Montreal along A-20 east must navigate a sharp loop ramp to complete their journey. |
