King's Highway 11 as the Trans-Canada Highway: Great Northern Route.
Highway 11 Information that Pertains to the North bay to Cochrane Section:
Multiplexes: Currently, Highway 11 is multiplexed with Highway 65 (2.7km) and Highway 101 (6.4km). The multiplex with Highway 65 was formed in 2003 when Highway 65 was rerouted away from Highway 11B in New Liskeard. In addition to the current co-designations, Highway 11 was also multiplexed with Highway 67 (2.6km) and with Highway 577 (300m) before downloading.

Trans-Canada Highway: Entire Length, as the Northern Ontario Route
AADT (2002): Highest: 27,600 from Highway 11B/17 northerly to Sheriff Avenue in North Bay;
Lowest: 1,750 from Highway 67(north jct) northerly to Highway 578.
Road Info: Highway 11 is a high standard road throughout this section. Traffic volumes are for the most part moderate on this portion of Highway 11, two exceptions are the busy North Bay and New Liskeard areas. In this section, Highway 11 passes through two very distinct types of terrain. From North Bay to New Liskeard, Highway 11 passes through the very rugged Canadian Shield. North of New Liskeard, Highway 11 passes through very flat plains, filled with fertile farm land.
