Multiplexes:  45.1 km with Highway 8 from Stratford to Kitchener; 3.7 km with Highway 6 along the Hanlon Parkway; Less then 1 km with Highway 25 in Acton; 3.5 km along Highway 410 in Brampton

AADT  (2001):  Highest: 46 200 from Conestoga Drive to Highway 410 in Brampton;

                        Lowest:  7 200 from 2.6 km west of Halton 6th Line to Highway 25 (north jct).

Freeway:  Highway 7 is a full fledged freeway on the Conestoga Parkway in (and to the west of) Kitchener; Highway 7 is a controlled access expressway when it is multiplexed with Highway 6 on the Hanlon Parkway in Guelph; Highway 7 is also a full fledged expressway for 3.5 km in Brampton where it is multiplexed with Highway 410.

Road Info:  Highway 7 is in very good shape for this entire section.  Pavement quality is virtually always excellent, and the road is built and maintained to the highest standards.  However, this section of Highway 7 is quite congested: in Brampton there are points where Highway 7 has over 40 000 vehicles per day on a conventional two lane road, (fortunately the Region of Peel is currently widening 7 to accommodate these traffic volumes).  Highway 7 is also very busy between Guelph and Kitchener, and the MTO is currently in the planning stages of creating a new 'Kitchener-Guelph Freeway' either using the current Highway 7 alignment, or a new alignment further to the north of the current one.

At Highway 85 (Formerly Highway 86):  EB: Exit the Freeway at Victoria Street, at the end of the ramp turn left onto Bruce Street, then right onto Victoria Street.  WB: After the freeway overpass, turn left at Edna Street, followed by another quick left turn towards Highway 8 and Highway 401.

EB: Turn Right on the Hanlon Parkway towards the 401.  WB:  At the end of the Hanlon turn left towards Kitchener/Waterloo

EB: Exit the Hanlon Parkway at Wellington Street, turn left at the end of the ramp.  WB:  Take the ramp to the right to head north along the Hanlon Parkway.

In Downtown Guelph:  EB: To stay on Highway 7 turn Right on Wyndham Street South.  WB: Turn left onto Wellington Street to head towards Kitchener.

In Rockwood at Main Street:  EB: Turn Right onto Main Street towards Acton.  WB: Turn Left on Alma Street towards Guelph.

At Highway 25 South:  EB: Turn Left into downtown via Mill Street.  WB:  Turn Right towards Guelph north along Highway 25.

In York Region Highway 7 is known as York Road 7 with the official name 'Highway 7'
